FSMNLP 2008 Post-proceedings

The post-proceedings of FSMNLP 2008 workshop will be published as a book in the bookseries Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and Applications by IOS Press, Netherlands.

The HARD DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING CAMERA-READY VERSIONS IS 20 OCTOBER 2008

The post-proceedings will appear at the beginning of 2009.

Submitting Camera-ready Version for the post-proceedings

Submission of camera-ready versions is electronic via EasyChair .
For upploading the final version of your paper for the post-proceedings please use the same EasyChair account you used to submit your paper to FSMNLP 2008.

The final submission consist of an archive (e.g., ZIP, tar) which includes:
  1. The PDF file with the final version of your paper. Please name your file: FSMNLP2008_ID, where ID stands for the ID of your paper. The page limit for full (regular) papers is 12 pages, whereas short papers and software demo descriptions are limited to 8 pages.

  2. A directory called /sources, which includes LATEX source file(s) of the final version of your paper and all additional files (e.g., graphics, styles, etc.) which are neccessary in order to reproduce the PDF version (in 1).
    Please note that the only source format, which will be accepted is LATEX.


STYLE: Please use IOS Press style while preparing the final version. The detailed guidelines and sample files can be found HERE.

In particular, make sure that the following rules are applied:

1. A4 is selected as the paper size in the document settings. The type area is 12.4 cm wide and 20 cm long (no (US) Letter).

2. NO colour graphics/pictures are included. Only black&white drawings are allowed.

3. Your PDF should NOT include page numbers and running headlines.

4. Resolution of images intended for viewing on a screen is not sufficient for the printed version of the post-proceedings. Check the quality of the images and provide them as separate files.

5. The 'Introduction' section is not numbered, whereas all other sections are numbered.

6. Citations are listed and numbered in the sequence in which they are 1st cited.

7. An abstract must be included on the title page.

8. Make sure that your sources include all neccessary styles/packages and files in order to recompile the paper.

9. Proofreading as regards technical content and English usage is the RESPONSIBILITY of the author.

Submission (CLOSED)

Papers should describe original work and should indicate the state of completion of the reported results. In particular, any overlap with previously published work should be clearly mentioned. Submissions will be judged on correctness, novelty, technical strength, clarity of presentation, usability, and significance/relevance to the workshop. We expect three kinds of submissions:
  • full papers
  • short papers
  • interactive software demos
Submissions are electronic and in PDF format via EasyChair , a web-based conference management system. Authors are encouraged to use Springer LNCS style (Proceedings and Other Multiauthor Volumes) for LaTeX in producing the PDF document. The page limit for full papers is 12 pages, whereas short papers and software demo descriptions are limited to 6 pages. The information about the author(s) should be omitted in the submitted papers since the review process wil be blind.

Submissions will be reviewed by 3-5 members of the Program Committee. Authors of accepted papers will receive guidelines regarding how to produce camera-ready versions of their papers for inclusion in the FSMNLP 2008 proceedings

Publication

The papers and abstracts will be published in FSMNLP 2008 local proceedings (paper version). The post-proceedings of FSMNLP 2008 workshop will be published as a book in the bookseries "Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and Applications" by IOS Press.
